In January 2003 Nordson delivered their first offline boiler system, together with a consortium of four Dutch companies. It consisted of a complete boiler enamelling plant to a company in Veles, Macedonia in order to replace their environmental unfriendly galvanizing process.
The extremely compact enamelling plant, which has an hourly production capacity of 35 electrical boilers of 80 litre size fits in to a small footprint due to its unique concept. Included in the installation were an :
- Offline shotblaster
- Offline powder application system with PLC control, automatic guns, oversprayed enamel recovery and conditioning system.
- Continuous enamelling furnace
- Materials handling equipment
Since this first successful installation in Macedonia the system has been recognised by a number of other companies as the ideal and economical solution for powder enamelling small volumes of production.
Also available from Nordson is an online conveyorised version of the system for large production volumes.
